BRIEF: This module requires  to undertake a comprehensive and independent study on a specialist fashion related topic of your choice. Through a written dissertation, you will explore and challenge the established parameters of your subject and demonstrate that you understand the relationship between theory and practice. Your research should show a commitment to evaluating contextual issues from a social, cultural and historical perspective.

 

It has been a keen interest to investigate into body ideals, confidence and the marketing methods used to promote womens body shapes, especially as it contiunes to be a much opinionated topic with ever-changing standards of 'beauty' being promoted by retailers on a daily basis to its wide range of consumers. 

 

This dissertation aims to Promote, Critique, Formulate and Evaluate the question of TRENDS IN BODY IMAGE: To what extent is the diversity of women's body shapes represented in retailers marketing messages.
